Terms & Conditions of Stay

Welcome to Sandbar and Bushland Caravan Park

We are glad to have you with us. By confirming your booking, you agree to follow the rules and guidelines below. These are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable stay for everyone — guests, staff, wildlife, and the environment.

Your Responsibilities as the Primary Guest

• You are responsible for the behaviour and safety of everyone in your booking — including family, friends, and visitors.
• Please follow all Park rules, signs, and staff instructions at all times.
• The Park is private property and includes all roads, campsites, cabins, shared facilities, recreation areas, and the Golf Course from The Lakes Way entrance onward.
• A breach of these terms or ANY laws may result in your immediate eviction from the property without refund and/or referral to relevant authorities.

General Information

• Check-in: Campsites from 12:00 pm, Cabins from 2:00 pm.
• Check-out: Strictly by 10:00 am. A fee of $50 will apply for every 30 minutes a cabin key is overdue.
• All guests must complete an online Pre-Check-In or check in personally at Reception before setting up.
• If you arrive after hours, check in by 10:00 am the next morning.
• Reception is open daily except for Christmas Day.
• Prices may change without notice.
• Management may reassign your site or cabin if needed.

Noise and Safety

• Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am — no music, radios or loud noise during this time.
• Fireworks, generators, drones, firearms, crossbows, and any weapons are strictly prohibited.

• Disruptive noise, offensive language, or abusive behaviour is not allowed.

Campfires and Equipment Hire

• Fires must be in proper fire pits — never on the ground.
• Always attend to your fire and fully extinguish it before leaving.
• Dispose of ashes in the designated ash bins, not in general waste or on the ground.
• A refundable bond is required for hiring fire pits, BBQs, hoses, tap adapters etc.

Park Safety and Guidelines

• Follow all posted signs and staff directions.
• Don’t tamper with or remove safety signage.
• Parking under trees is at your own risk — the Park isn’t liable for any damage.
• Speed limits:
  • 10 km/h in camping/accommodation areas
  • 20 km/h between Bushland and Sandbar, and on Golf Course Road
  • 40 km/h from The Lakes Way to Golf Course Road
  • Adjust driving for weather and road conditions, especially on unsealed roads.

Security and Supervision

• Keep your belongings secure. Lock vehicles and don’t leave valuables unattended.
• The Park isn’t responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
• Children under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

• You are responsible for your visitors’ behaviour.
• All visitors and vehicles must be registered at Reception. Unregistered visitors may be asked to leave.

Pets and Wildlife

• Pets are only allowed if they are registered service or companion animals, with prior management approval.

• Don’t feed or approach wildlife. Dispose of food scraps and rubbish in designated bins to avoid attracting wildlife. Please respect their environment.
• Don’t approach injured wildlife.  Please notify Management.

Activities and CCTV

• CCTV may be in use for safety. By entering the Property, you accept this and agree to behave responsibly.
• All recreational activities are at your own risk.

• Smoking is banned inside cabins, enclosed areas, and within 4 metres of entrances or outdoor eating areas.
• Smoking inside a cabin will incur a $500 cleaning fee.

Cleaning and Damage

• Leave your site or cabin clean and tidy upon departure. This includes waste disposal, cleaning cooking areas and returning furniture/equipment to original position.
• Cleaning fees may apply if left in poor condition.
• Damage or missing items will be charged to your credit card on file.
• In accordance with Australian Safety Standards, children under 9 must not sleep or play on top bunks. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children’s safety.

Camping and Vehicles

• Set up only within your allocated site.
• Keep at least 1 metre from roads and 1.5 metres from neighboring sites.
• Campsites: maximum 1 motorhome/caravan or 2 rooftop tent vehicles.
• Bikes, skateboards, and scooters are allowed at your own risk.
• Recreational use of motorbikes is not allowed.
• No riding in ute trays, trailers, or on vehicle exteriors.
• Maximum 2 vehicles per site. Extra vehicles must park in designated areas.
• All vehicles must be registered and roadworthy.
• No driving on grass, campsites, recreation zones, or lake foreshore.
• Beach driving requires a valid Mid Coast Council 4WD permit (available at Reception) before accessing designated 4WD driving zones.

Booking and Payments

• You must be over 18 to make a booking.
• Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
• Cabin bookings require a minimum 2-night stay.
• Priority rebooking is only available for Christmas and Easter peak periods.
• 7 night discount does not apply in Peak season or on any other discounted rate.
• We accept direct bank deposit for payments for bookings:  BSB: 062 540    ACC: 00138819   Please provide Name, Reservation Number and Area number when making payment.

Extra Guests

• Standard booking includes 2 adults.
• Extra adults (15+) are $20/night; children 5–14 are $10/night.
• Children under 5 stay free.
• Campsites and Standard Cabins: max 6 people. Ensuite Cabins: max 5 people.

Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans can change. Please refer to our Refund policy below.

Refund Policy

• No refunds for early departures, partial stays or cancellations via third parties.
• One-time date changes may be allowed at Management’s discretion.  Changes to bookings are not guaranteed and peak bookings cannot be altered.
• Weather, illness or change of mind are not valid reasons for refund unless supported by documentation e.g. medical certificate.

Right of Removal

If you, or anyone in your group, breaches these terms during your stay, we may ask you to leave immediately. In such cases, no refund will be issued, and you may be liable for any damage or loss caused.

Privacy

• Your personal information may be used for direct marketing. You can opt out anytime.
• Unless you notify us otherwise, we will assume you have consented to the collection of all information provided to us for use in accordance with our Privacy Policy
